Lampard: Don’t shrug off Chelsea
Former star of London’s Chelsea Frank Lampard admits that the strong start of the championship by Manchester City this season will make it difficult for Chelsea to defend its title, but warns that it’s too early to write off Antonio Conte’s team.
After 11 matches, City by eight points ahead of Manchester United and Tottenham, while going to fourth Chelsea is one more point behind.
The Blues lost to the leader of the championship with a score of 1:0 at Stamford Bridge in September. While City got a significant advantage in its desire to regain the Premier League title, Lampard, who managed to play for both clubs, believes that everything is not lost for Chelsea.
At the same time, Lampard believes that Chelsea must be competitive in order to stay in the top four every year to participate in the Champions League.
