The Argentine international, 30-year-old Gonzalo Higuain announced he hoped to join AC Milan on Thursday as the striker has already arrived in the city before the anticipated move from Juventus.
Several dozen fans awaited Higuain at the hotel in Milan, while Italian media said would undergo a medical examination early in the morning, after which a deal would be reached between all parties.
According to Higuain, he was pleased to see so many fans, but at the same time he would like to thank the fans of Juve for the good attitude to him in the last 2 years.
Higuain signed a $105 million deal at Juventus two years ago, after scoring a record 36 Serie A goals in the previous season for Napoli.
Meanwhile, former Juve defender Leonardo Bonucci, who spent last season just in Milan, is coming back to Turin.
Taking into account that Cristiano Ronaldo, who moved to Juventus earlier this year, undoubtedly bets on new trophies, the return of Bonucci makes sense in the short term.
