Colombia – England, World Cup, Last 16, July 3. Preview, odds

England will face Colombia in the World Cup last 16 in Moscow on Tuesday, while the head coach Gareth Southgate has urged his players to create their own history with a long-awaited victory in the playoff stage.

The England national team made a positive impression in the opening games and is now moving towards the quarter-finals for the first time since 2006.

Now it may seem that England’s chances for a successful performance at the tournament are quite high – after the elimination of such eternal favorites as Germany, Spain and Argentina, but Southgate refuses to indulge in emotions and pragmatically assesses his side’s chances.

Now England have a world-class forward – Harry Kane and a number of strong players, whose level is proved by Premier League, but they still have to prove that they can show power when it matters.

As for Colombia, there are still doubts whether star man James Rodriguez, who was injured in the last group match, will be fit to start in Moscow.
