Ancelotti signs three-year deal with Napoli
Carlo Ancelotti has been appointed as Napoli manager on a three-year deal. The agreement of the 58-year-old coach with Napoli will be in force for 3 years. Ancelotti has replaced Maurizio Sarri, who had headed Napoli since in 2015.
As a manager Ancelotti worked in Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. He has won the “Golden Double” in Italy (2003), England (2009) and France (2012).
Ancelotti is one of the 3 coaches in the world who managed to win the title of champion in 3 of the top 5 European championships. Only Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho and Josep Guardiola have achieved such outstanding results. Carlo Ancelotti also won three Champions League titles (with Milan in 2003 and 2007 years and with Real in 2014.
Last season, Ancelotti won the German championship with Bayern Munich, but on September 28, 2017 he was retired after losing to Paris Saint-Germain with a score of 0:3 in the Champions League group stage match.
In the season 2017/18 Napoli took the 2nd place in the Serie A standings and scored 91 points. The team fell behind Juventus, who became the champion, only 4 points.
